Schoenstatt Men Sydney

Through spiritual formation - in our meetings, reflection days, retreats - we share our faith journey and support each other in our commitment to our families and apostolic works in Church and community.

Some of us meet regularly and others only come for reflection days and retreats. There is a sense of community between all.

We are one community among many Schoenstatt communities here and overseas. Fr Pawel is our priest who accompanies us. We  collaborate in decision making for our small community.

We have special attachment to the Schoenstatt Shrine at Mulgoa, near Penrith.

To be Fathers • To be Sons • To be Brothers

To be Fathers

With childlike trust we strive to follow the teachings of Jesus.

Be compassionate as your Heavenly Father is compassionate Luke 6:36

To be Sons

We make a conscious decision as baptised Christians to strive to imitate Jesus and develop our relationship with God the Father as sons.

In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And just as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens torn apart and the Spirit descending like a dove on him. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved with you I am well pleased.” Mark 1:9-11

To be Brothers

We come together as Brothers striving to grow spiritually in the plan God has for each one of us and to continue the mission of Jesus in the world today. With this background we see ourselves as brothers in Christ.

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbath day’s journey away. When they had entered the city, they went to the room upstairs where they were staying, Peter, and John, and James, and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. All these were constantly devoting themselves to prayer, together with certain women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, as well as his brothers. Acts 1:12-14

Our Mission

In the Covenant of Love with Mary, we journey with her and in Jesus and the Holy Spirit to our Father to make present the Kingdom of God.
